Harrods at Christmas and laying out the beds

Harrods seemed to be doing good business on Sunday when we were there - very nice celebration lunch although did feel rather full at the end of it!
It was interesting to see how many non UK natives were shopping there and realise that  wealthy Chinese are indeed visiting in large numbers personally as it was so busy I was put off actually making any purchases.

On the allotment

Have made some progress on the railway sleeper beds - need a few nails and odd bits of wood to finish the construction then need to add soil.
Asparagus can last 20 years so I'm going to prepare the beds before transferring my existing 'crowns'.
Full details of the recommended cultivation method (BBC gardening) steps are here.
