27 A page of fruit

In fact I went for all the fruit we have

I could spend some more time here, aims would be to

get some depth in the colour

and

Improve shading

26 this makes me happy!

I wonder what things make us happy - I thought of a nice breakfast with a good cup of coffee, it can be the start of a good day, maybe away from home at a hotel (perhaps on a holiday?) - often it'll be a Thursday or a Saturday.

Decided to try and represent with colouring pencils and then added some red watercolour

blue plate

I thought it needed more red

I tried a blue plate (right)- perhaps too much?

And added a tablecloth idea

24 Colour or create a pattern

This was fun and felt a bit like therapy!

I was perhaps over ambitious and a mistake or two -but think there's mainly a pattern (and I like it).

19 Visit a Museum (I will) and some stuff on Metal Sculpture

Well already the targets could be slipping, but day to day I've got Arty stuff going on.

So the exercise I'm at now is a visit to as Museum, drawing items that interest me and perhaps annotating  with notes.

For me this'll come later, as part of my Foundation Art and Design we'll do this and as a volunteer at the V&A I'm well prepared.

Part of my ' busy' schedule is a Metal Sculpture course, many years since I  was in a metal workshop and the one I'm at doesn't have lathes and the like but it's fun soldering and welding.

I've a target to create a 3D piece representing a figure in a dress, it'll use a few methods of joining materials.

Week 1 (last week) riveting and solder were touched on and I've now got a little blowtorch.

And in the garage at home

Here's where I am with my figure have also found a template for a 'conical' dress to cover the figure.

18 Exploring colour combinations

Colour is certainly a challenge!

What works together - going to have a few goes at this!

Well I've tried - but I'm not so happy and will come back to this one! (perhaps with paint)

17. dashes and completing the pattern ?

So I'm not sure if I've done what was required - have I completed the pattern (which I suppose I've made up?)

This is the starting point:
exercise 17

looking for colour

And I struggled to find colours - trying crayons, felt pens and watercolour.

An imagined  pattern (perhaps grapes)

And here's how I decided to  finish it (for the time being)

16 Complete the Flock of Birds

So another day I've missed (Friday was 3D art at CityLit and visit to V&A- is my excuse).

It's a fun one here (augmenting the flock) -and will try and do two tomorrow.
