The Return of the Undead in Birmingham (and BEAT 2018)

Stephen Pound MP was part of the launch party at Charlotte's

earlier in the month I was again part of the local art trail - it works under the title BEAT (Borough of Ealing Art Trail), as last year I was kindly offered space by Viv the Ceramicist in Gordon Road also part of the Group was Tamas who works in primarily Acrylic  but also uses embroidery.

Visitor numbers were around the same as last year despite the number of venues and artists being much increased (around 280 of us participating).

Highlights for me were  visits by one of the local MPs (the charming Rupa Huq) and having my photograph taken by Damian Walker who was getting to as many of the locations as he could, he's produced 2 lovely collages

Politics

What will happen for the Tories?

Can Theresa May struggle on (And should she)?

It really does feel like we're crashing out of the EU and question is what pressure we put on the accelerator - to me it doesn't feel like it will end well, there is a dangerous combination at work - both a lack of vision and competence.

Why have we got into such a terrible position? largely I feel because the Conservatives are split and the leadership is unable to detach from the idea of a 'united' party - John Major has been here before and showed some courage it will be interesting to see where we are in a weeks time!
