Thanks Waterstones
this seemed like an offer to good to refuse £1 for 20 cards and envelopes (normally £10.99) -
They're prints of Hugo Guinness lino cuts and ideal for odd notres to people thanking them etcetra.
Hugo seems a bit of a polymath and it looks like he has something of a 'good' life but ...
What we battle
The other day just near The Design Museum in Kensington High Street I saw the famous (or should that be infamous?) Piers Morgan - Piers seemed to be in an argument/disagreement with his missus and had that look of a child who had not got his own way - struck me then that though we set some people apart from the common throng much of what they deal with in their day-to-day lives has much in common with our own travails.
So it was seeing a clip of George Michael speaking to Michael Parkinson and being very honest about what had driven him as a youngster, a desire for fame but as we able to observe this was to replace something that was missing for him.
I'm still reading Marina's book and she too is driven and it seems a result of what she went through as a child.
New Canon Camera
The fund is now at £5 |
So The G7 has competition for my affection a new G9 Mk II will be with us in February - this should be good though as newer models can cause drops in price on existing lines.
