On the walk from Millennium Bridge
|
On Tuesday I walked from St Paul's to Chancery Lane and was interested to see history as I strolled,
first was this inscription.
It seems that the
Worshipful Company of Upholders was a guild setting standards in upholstery which continues to this day.
Here's a photograph of people taking a photograph nearby- the iconic view of St Paul's will be behind them.

Smile please |
As I walked further I reached Fleet Street once the home of the UK press and what more important building for many years than El Vino - here's a story about
Sexual politics in the 1980s that goes with the demise of the area (perhaps) and an article from a
revisit more recently.

The El Vino bar casts a shadow and houses some ghosts perhaps? |
