The Photographer's Gallery and Planning

Having enjoyed a world class selection of work from top photographers at the Barbican last week I ventured into central London to Ramillies Street as there's new pictures on show and the Annual Deutsche.

 Well there were a couple of things I liked and it's generally good to have a look at the shop but perhaps overall a shade disappointing.

 I did though really like I am a leader Xenia Delegko  - more of a youtube thing and rather oddly magnificent.

Also some good stuff about Monsanto (a project by Mathieu Asselin) - Monsanto doesn't seem to be a very nice company.

Planning

Easter is pretty much on the horizon and I've got pictures to show in a local bar..
About a year since I took a class in putting on exhibition - still plenty to learn though.

Part of my show will be a claendar of my local area.

Part of my year - July to December.

I'm also looking at some other urban stuff and I need to get my invites and flyers done..

A mixture of ideas - but broadly Colour and Time

It was about Time

It was about ..

After something like three  weeks of 7 of my Photo's  being on show at the very excellent Grapevine Bar (Part of Questors' theatre Ealing) it was time to take down the framed prints along with co-exhibitor Dr Tim Layden.


The hanging at the bar gave me a chance to take account of what I'd been exposed to in Shirley Read's City Lit course (and in looking around at Galleries and exhibitions).

So before I went I did try out what worked together..

And it was commented on that I had the pictures at 'eye height' too.

So now looking for another venue and (still) taking pictures.

Doors

I've reached a hundred and what with exhibition and holiday the doors are going to be 'a jar' as the old joke goes  - but more as I stumble upon them..

About a year ago and another missed

Yesterday did my routine attack on the Pear tree in back garden - looking back at my Blog I see it's about a week later than in 2015 - also oddly I was going on about the Questors Grapevine bar and tonight hopefully I will  be there again and thinking about another small exhibition.

Back to the Red (not so Final) 

I'm still thinking about Reds (well it's only about a month since I finished my Leap Year Project) and yesterday I mentioned a Red I'd like to have included (but had not seen) -this time it's a book that I have and had not even considered/recalled.
