Pitzhanger Gallery -Wundercamera & TV Highlights

In Ealing Gallery
On 22nd November the local (to me) Pitzhanger Gallery opened a new exhibition which is (ostensibly) about how people interact with galleries and curating.
There are some very nice photo's in the show, some archive and others more contemporary - I particularly liked the works by Karen Knorr and the Louise Lawler exhibits looked like paintings

Coronation Street & Tudor Farm

Well there's always a danger that the UK's main commercial TV station might dumb down but the Soap Opera I enjoy most this week hit a new high when comedy Taxi boss Steve McDonald threw in a quote of  Cicero on History - I wonder if it's a challenge between writers - anyway well done Coronation Street.
If it gets one extra person thinking about philosophy then it's (I reckon) a very positive outcome.
And here's the Cicero Quote:

“To be ignorant of what occurred before you were born is to remain always a child. For what is the worth of human life, unless it is woven into the life of our ancestors by the records of history?

Introduced by Corrie'
The other TV highlight for this week has been watching the excellent Tudor Monastery Farm  it's a really cracking programme showing people something that they wouldn't expect to enjoy (imagine trying to seel that unseen to one of the US networks) Ruth Goodman has a great enthusiasm for history which makes her  a natural for this immersive TV construct.
